I live in Washington State and made an agreement with a woman in Michigan
for trading exotic birds. I upheld my part of the agreement by sending two beautiful macaws to her, but she has not sent me the birds that she agreed to send. It has been 9 months now and she is making one excuse after the other as to why she hasn't shipped them to me. There was no specific date set for her sending the birds to me, but I never thought it would take her this long. I have even given her email addresses of people in Michigan that currently have the birds that are due me, but she will not respond to them. I have emailed 2 seperate request to her to return my birds to me and have had absolutely no response from her. If I request to have my birds returned, is she legally bound to send the Macaws back to me? And if she doesn't send the birds back to me, could this be considered a criminal act? Another concern I have is that she might have sold the birds that I sent to her. What legal options do I have with all of this? (Hopefully not having to take her to court.) |
