Gun Ownership

I am having trouble decifering if I have the right to buy and own firearms. I have been court ordered to undergo psychiatric evalutions twice. The first time they held me for 3 months on an involuntary evalution. The second time I was out in about a week under the same circumstance. I have never been a violent offender, but the second evaluation was ordered because my father said, I said I might harm my neighbor. This was a misunderstanding but there was nothing I could do or say to prove it. The first time I was ordered on the fear that I was suicidal. I have never been deemed mentally insufficient or unstable. And, I enjoy the outdoors and feel I should have the right to hunt and to defend me and my family the same as anyone else.
