Question Time Limits On Molestation In California?

My adult daughter has just informed me that she was molested by her Step-father when she was 8 years old. She has kept this a secret for 30 years.
Is it to late to take any action on this? We are concerned about whether or not he is still commiting these types of acts on little girls with which he may come in contact. We have learned that HIS father also commited these same type of acts on his (Grand-Dad's) daughters and grand-daughters.
Our motives are solely to warn people of the possibility that he may be a danger to other young girls.

You can still inform the police but prosecution is often very difficult with that much time having passed.

But it will put the culprit on notice if he is still considering such behavior.

I grew up in cleveland, Ohio and now live in California. I am 32 years old.
When I was 12 or 13 my mom\'s boyfriend molested me.

I never forgave my mom for not reporting it. She died last year. Can I do
something about that now?

I know that he still lives in Cleveland and I know his first, middle and
last name. He and my mom had a pair of twins together but, they never knew
him although they carry his last name.

I am not sure what the statute of limitations are for ohio. But, I wish
that I could do what my mom never did. Is there anything I could do at all
about this one incident?
