Default telling a friend, could he report me?

my friend is a lawyer and I was telling him that I think I might have committed a traffic violation but I'm not sure and so was just talking with him about it and asking his advice and what I should do If I would get ticketed later... so my question could my friend report what I told him, and if so would I be ticketed even though he didnt' witness it?
