Once again, Miranda only comes into play if you were interrogated. If they had questioned you, and you confessed to a murder, they couldn't use it if they hadn't Mirandized you.

Not even Miranda and it's progenies mandate a recitation of your rights by law. If they are not read to you if they intend to question/interrogate you, most generally they are not permitted to use any statements you make against you in court, that is the remedial part.

Unless your state constitution demands they be read either pre or post arrest, there is no legal requirement. Most are read due to department policy and strong suggestion by local and or state prosecutors.
