I am receiving interest income from a lawsuit filed several years ago.
The company is in bankruptcy and the checks come from a trust. I owe the irs and franchise tax board money. My question is can the IRS or the CA franchise tax board garnish the interest income I get from, this? Thanks Bill |

Yes unless in some cases if it was for personal injury or to pay for other bodily injury, etc.
Best to have a lawyer try to set it up so that it will be protected. |
