Confused Dog Breeder Refuses to Refund $ for 6 Month Dog with Hip Dysplasia

[solved! thank you!]

I bought a dog for $500 from a breeder for the purposes of hunting and eventually breeding him if he turned out to be a good dog in good health. The breeder sold me the dog and verbally told me that she guaranteed the dog. She handed me a contract that she did not verbally discuss with me nor did she have me sign it.

I went through my paper work that she had given me back when I bought the dog and it does indeed say that however I was never informed of this nor did I sign the contract it was a stack of papers she gave me and pushed me out the door after I gave her the money.

Can I legally go after her to get my money back or will I have to take another puppy that has a large possibility of developing hip dysplasia at a young age? Also, the fact that the puppy will not be avaliable to me until 1 year is also very frustrating.

I wish to inform you that you can claim refund from dog breeder. In this regard as the written contract was never signed by you therefore you may object that written contract was never agreed by you and that oral agreement under which you have bought dog has been breached because dog has not met the purpose which you had informed to seller and therefore seller is at fault.
