Can a towing company prevent me from getting my personal stuff out of my car with out paying the tow first?

I wish to inform you that towing company has a right to lien under 779.415 Liens on vehicles for towing and storage. In this regard lien which the towing company can have will be subject to the provisions of section 779.415. In this regard you cannot be stopped to have your personal stuff in truck if towing company exercise its lien. Under Section 779.415(1g)(b) you must be allowed your personal stuff.

As per the Wisconsin Code Chapter 779. Liens can be invoked on vehicle for towing and storage. As per 779.415(1g)(b) If the vehicle is towed or stored under the directions of a traffic officer, any personal property within the vehicle shall be released to the owner of the vehicle as provided under s. 349.13 (5) (b) 2. No additional charge may be assessed against the owner for the removal or release of the personal property within the vehicle. So if your vehicle is taken as per the direction of traffic officer then the tow company cannot prevent you from taking your personal stuff.
