My daughter plays softball for an area team. The one coach has been very abusive in his words to her. Yelling and just being mentally abusive. She got depressed and just could not handle it. I got tired of it and we said if he didn`t stop yelling we would file a protection from abuse. He had her kicked off the team. She loves softball and is very hurt by his actions. Is there anything we can do about this bully?

I think the first step you need to take is to get ahold of whoever is in charge of the association for the league your daughter plays in and let them know about the situation. They would be best fitted to rectify this situation.

But even still I would reccommend that you just register your daughter for another team in the league, that is, if this coach is not removed from his position.

I do not see any laws being broke.

Unfortunately it is not a school function. They say it is not part of the school program, but it is. The guy we are talking about is the husband of a teacher and they will cover for each other. It is a shame that she has to give up what she loves, over someone like this. It is very depressing that there is no legal way to do this. It is a shame that a person can do this to a 13 year old girl.

You may want to do what the one poster suggested and go o league staff.

This coach's behavior does not seem like it would be approved.
