unfair sentencing: grandson was charged for conspiracy to sell meth

My grandson was arrested on a federal drug charge on the same indictment with two other people who are close in age with no prior felony history all faced the same situation however one recieved 58 months one 63 months and my grandson received 151 months. How is that possible when the feds have set guide lines and their points had to have been close?
They were all three charged as co-defendants for conspiracy to sell meth.

He might not have any felonies on his record but he may have a history of being arrested and getting in trouble.

The other two might have testified against him in exchange for reduced sentences or it could have been something as simple as, he did not show enough outward expression of remorse.
