Guilty by association for bank robbery

My friends daughter is charge guilty by association for bank robbery. My friend is willing to pay any fines but she wants to know if will she serve jail time. She is 17 living in CA. Please advise...Thanks.

I wish to inform you that if your friend's daughter has committed bank robbery then the judge may commit the minor to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Facilities, in lieu of sentencing the minor to the state prison. In this regard, under Section 707 of the Welfare and Institutions Code a minor of 16 years or above can be tried by adult court for certain offences including robbery.
