Default Getting proof of payment... bank account frozen by Revenue Canada

First off, we live in Ontario, Canada.

My mom was renting a basement apartment from a friend. The lady had her bank account frozen by Revenue Canada. My mom paid the mortgage(paid using western union) , gas bills, license plate stickers, drive clean tests and many other bills for the lady. My mom paid cash and the other lady kept the receipts. The lady has refused to repay my mom and so my mom is taking her to small claims court. The problem is that we are having trouble getting a copy of the payment my mom made because none of the bills were in my mom's name. What do we do now to get proof that my mom made the payments?

I wish to inform you that you may show payments by showing evidence of person who knew that you have paid bills. In this regard if that lady had told while communicating to some one or payment were made in front of some one then that person can be presented as evidence. You may also give evidence in support of your mother although it will have less credit but again it will considered. You may also ask the lady to show the source from where she has paid the bills. In this regard that lady may be asked to reveal her income details and if that lady is not having any source from which she can pay bills along with her other expenses then your mothers payment may be proved.
