my 17 yr. old son was the lookout for another 17 yr. old who was shoplifting. Needless to say they got caught. I have rcv'd a legal letter from attorney requesting damage payment for the boy that was actually caught with merchandise. Should i pay this, ignore this letter or write and let them know i am not this boys parent/guardian? It doesn't mention my son, but i am sure they want $ from us although he had nothing on him he was considered guilty by association. Any help would be appreciated. By the way we are in Ontario, Canada
