Is it legal for a school to require a parent to give details of their child\'s birth, infancy, and developmental milestones?

A public school cannot force you to give more than the basic info--date of birth etc.

While it's not illegal, it is not required. It is merely optional. If you don't feel comfortable providing such details, simply decline.
