There are no legal issues- all "step brother" means is that one of your parents is married to one of his- the law only cares about blood relatives.

To everyone saying it's sick and weird... not all step-siblings grow up together! Her parent could have married his parent when they were both grown adults, they could have been dating before the parents even got together, they could have all known each other for years before any of this happened... "step brother" does not mean they have been raised as siblings.

That is ture. It is not illegal or weird at all. One of my best friends married her step brother and they got a lot of crap from people about being related when they were actually dating before their parents got together.

I wish to inform you that it depends upon the laws of the state or country you are in. In most jurisdictions it may fall under forbidden relationships for marriage. However, if you have not stayed together at any point of time before or were not adopted by the other parent, it may be legal in some jurisdictions.
