Confused Can he take it?

I was dating & living with my ex for 7 yrs. On July 19th he decided to move out. When he left he told me that I could have everything in the house (except his personal property) because I needed it for my kids.

We came to an agreement that we would leave the cell and insurance bills as is until further notice.

The some of the furniture in my home was purchased on his credit card. I have made the payments on them for the last few months, in fear that he would take it. Well, he has told me that he wants everything settled so that I am no longer in his life.

So my question is this. If I stop paying on his credit card for the furniture, can he come and take it from my home? Or can he take me to small claims court? He has had the last 3 months to attempt to get it, but hasn't.

Default Re: Can he take it?

Well he could try yes but given the time that is passing and your apparent agreement, he would probably lose in small claims.

It would be helpful-- to avoid this confusion --if you two could put in writing your final agreement as to those charges etc.
