Sued for unwanted hospital care

I had an anxiety attack at work...911 was called, they showed up and took me to the hospital.... I told the ambulance driver that I didnt want to go becauase I could not afford it...I told the people at the hospital that I didnt want to stay because I could not afford it...I was told that if I tried to leave that these guys would do everythying in their power to make me stay. Then i was told that if my feet touch the floor, that I would be strapped down. They even posted a person at the foot of my bed. They did not give me any shots, pills, nothing. At most they took my blood pressure (like they do when you first go in for any reason.) Now I'm being sued for something that I did'nt want in the first place. What can I do?

It is quite odd you were held against your will like that. Hospital staff is not legally able to do that.
