I am a factory worker (30 years) who has a disability (morbid obesity) and have been supplied with a chair by my employer to accommodate me for the last year. I recently suffered an injury to my shoulder at work that had nothing to do with this disability. My employer has stated that after my shoulder heals they will require me to have a complete physical to be able to return to work. Can they then say that I cannot do the functions of the job because of my disability and terminate me in the process?

Not immediately and you would likely get some kind of long term disability but they could dismiss you if no job is able to be done by you, or fit your needs.

Unregistered Guest Posts: n/a	Re: Physical Not immediately and you would likely get some kind of long term disability but they could dismiss you if no job is able to be done by you, or fit your needs.
