Default Storage fees

Kentucky
We have a diesel repair shop. A customer cannot pay his bill right now. Meanwhile, his truck is taking up space on our lot. Can we charge a storage fee, and, if so, is there a limit on the amount and/or time before we can take further action such as selling the truck to take care of the customer's bill?
