Question Judgement in Texas for vandalizing a torn down old trailer house

This is a long story and I will make it as brief as possible. 4 years ago my son was 9 years old and he and 2 other friends were caught by deputies in Ector county apparently vandalizing a torn down old trailer house in our neighborhood. my son being only 9 could not be charged so we were sent on our way. The old torn up trailer was owned by a mean spirited attorney in Odessa and he sued me for damages. Me, being dumb, I did not secure an attorney at the time because I thought my son could not be held responsible because of his age. I wrote a letter apologizing for the damage my son supposedly did and asked how he could work of what was owed. He was not willing to do this. I am a single mom and barely make it pay check to pay check as it is. He subpoenaed me to do a deposition verbally and I did. He then sent a set of interrogatories for me to fill out, I did not get them the first time and he sent out a letter telling me of a court hearing. I did not know that I had to be there because it was just by regular mail. and did not say I had to be there. so he had a ca pious warrant issued. I went into his office frantic and in tears as he coerced me to sign an agreement to pay 80 dollars per month. I paid 4 payments and I have not been able to pay since. it is really tough with gas and other things as high has it was. anyway, he has now sent another subpoena for me to do a verbal deposition again. He wants my bank statements for the last 4 years. I am stressed and worried and I can't even sleep at night. I can't afford a lawyer and I need help. he just keeps adding to this judgment amount by doing these depositions and running up the court costs.
