My wife is pregnant with twins and is on bedrest. Twins are due in a couple of weeks. The doctor has told her she can take classes from home, but cannot go to the school until after the twins are born. We agree, as well as the instructor and her academic advisor that for the first 2-3 weeks that she would get notes from the instructor as well as from her friends who are in class, returning to class after the babies are born.
This is only one class, one day a week for an hour. The director of the program has now forced my wife to take a medical leave of absence. Class attendence is optional. They have provisions protecting them from any pregnant student issues. Do they have a legal right to force my wife to take this? |
