Unlawful siezing of personal property?
I am currently 18 years old going to a boarding school here in Utah, this is my second year as a student. Recently, I had property taken from me due to unknown reasons by the dorm parent. The dorm parent however told me my parents authorized it. However I found out directly from my parents they never said such a thing. Being that I am 18 and I bought said property with my own money, I assume that my parents would not have a say in it's personal care at all. I also was not requested to re-sign the contract of the school, which in no way or form says that the dorm parent may take property legally from a student regardless of age. I would like to know what I can do legally in this situation.
