Default McCormick J retained political protester in mental hospital

Judge Lawrence E. McCormick ordered to commit Yong Li to Mass General Hospital (MGH) up to 45 days. Li insisted on that political protest is not mental illness.

The MGH claimed that Li was delusion disorder, because Li persistently fought in courts for discrimination cases against Raytheon.

When Li's attorney indicated that the MGH made PAI psychological test and showed Li had no mental condition, the Hospital psychiatrist Dr. Huffman said that Li was highly intelligent and Li knew how to answer such question to impact test result. The Hospital bears burden to prove beyond reasonable doubt.

Li, herself, claimed that she only suffered PTSD. Li’s Chinese doctors never believed Li in delusion.
