Dear Sir,
I am Sri-Lankan who had being Dubai for the past 9 years working for a leading bank, IT department as an engineer. I completed constructing my home recently back home in Colombo and my family lives with me in Dubai. I am yet to service my bank loans in Dubai. I had been looking forward to continue my education after Computer Diploma even in Sri-Lanka and Dubai, but the nature of my work did not permit me to do so since I take shifts in day and night and decided to marry and settle down in life. Now, I realize the value of education and wish to continue my education in New Zealand and apply for permanent residency there after. My age is 41 years and I should act now. My issue is that application for education needs so much of documentation plus a police clearance report from the place where you have been. This is not an issue for me during my first application for education since I am planning to leave the country without my visa cancellation. My Police clearance report would be clean, but when I reach New Zealand, but at the time completion of my education and residency application the police report is not going to look good since I have not settled my dues back in Dubai. Of course, I could afford the well being of my family during my education while being in New Zealand, but servicing the loans are going to be far cry. Mind you I am not going to run away from my loans in Dubai, but I could settle those once I settle down and start working in New Zealand. Wish you could look in to this issue of mine, and recommend me accordingly. I wish you could advise me with the best possible options available. Regards, Mahesh |

You may want to consult world law lawyers privately but I am sure you can get the appropriate clearances if the only issue is the debt and civil obligations.
There are many ways to work around that problem. |
