Default Unusual old trust

At this URL you will find a Deed of Gift America's Cup Deed of Gift A Charities Bureau Registry Search provided the following information:
Organization Name: GEORGE L. SCHUYLER TRUST U/A 10/24/1887 FBO AMERICA'S CUP
Registration Type: CRT
Registration Statute: EPTL
Month number fiscal year ends : 12
Federal ID No. (EIN): NO DATA AVAILABLE
NY State Reg. No.: 20-41-03
I’m finding it hard to understand why a Deed of Gift, with no identifiable beneficiaries and no charitable aspect that I can detect, should be registered as a Charitable Remainder Trust. Can anyone shed any light?
