Both intellectual lightweights, both picked by insecure nominees. In fact, Quayle was far more qualified than PTA Sportscaster Sarah Palin is.

I doubt that she will be the nominee at the RNC. Her unexpected pick on a whim by the Republican's unstable candidate, John "Flipper" McCain has caused Plutocratic jaw dropping all over the nation.

Here in Michigan, where the nomination of Romney was seen as a way for McCain to get back into contention, the absurd choice of the undereducated, gun toting Soccer Mom- a political neophyte has the local Repub leaders reeling.

She sacked a public safety commissioner and the allegation is that she sacked him because he had not fired a state trooper who is Mrs Palin's former brother-in-law, and who is in a custody battle with her sister.
