Default HELP my neighbor is getting out of hand

we have had a problem with a neighbor for almost three years now
it is getting out of hand, i have called the sheriff and tried get them to make a report but he is a school administrator and knows the police and sheriff well
he has tried to run us down when we walk are dog on the road servile times,
i finally confronted him about it and he confirmed he was trying to hit us.
i told him it would be murder if he did he was trying to scare us because he doesn't like are dog or us, after that things were fine for a few weeks then he was back to driving 30-45 MPH on are private dirt road that we share,
i made some speed bumps out of gravel that i have they were not huge
3'' high 12'' wide across the road in front of my property, at noon that day he drove to his house for lunch and on his way back to work he stopped and kicked the speed bumps down and apparently got very very mad,
i was running over to the neighbors house at the same time he had called the paramedics he thought he was having a hart attack and needed help, as i was running over there down the road the when the bad neighbor turned around and was coming at me with his car i jumped in the ditch he slammed on his brakes and got out cussing me up and down about how i trespassed on his property and i was going to be arrested for trespassing, we went around about his speeding he told me he would run me and my wife and dog over if he caught us in the road.
i called the sheriff apparently so did he, i got a call from a deputy about my trespassing, i informed him of the private road the has easements and is in the CCR for access, he stated there was nothing he could do to me but he wanted to know why his friend Jimmy was having trouble with me.
i told him i called to have a report filed about his attempting to hit me with his car and his statement about wanting to run me over and kill me he refused to make any kind of report about it that, he told me i would have to take it up in civilly court, its been sixty days know and my wife started a knew job this bad neighbors wife fallowed my wife to work she works on the other side of town about twenty minutes away from were my wife work and had to go out of her way to fallow my wife, she made sure my wife seen her she fallowed her into the parking structure and just drove on out now my wife is very scared and i do not know what to do next??? sore for the long winded explanation Thank you
