I am hearing of a "National Sunday Law". What is this?

Its just one of the Seventh-day Adventists ways of 'evangelism.' First they scare you with their own edition of the "Last Events" and then tell you that you have to worship on Saturday and keep it holy to be saved and to survive the wrath of God, and if you worship on Sunday you are doomed.

There is no such teaching in the Bible. Rather the Bible teaches that faith in the death of Jesus saves us (Col 2:16) and the Holy Spirit takes us through all the troubles in this world until the time that Jesus would come back (Eph1:13-14).

"So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read."
luke 4:16
"If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15
"Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." Revelation14:12

If Jesus - Creator kept Gods law, who are we not to? Also, did you know that Sunday is not even mentioned in the Bible - it is called the first day, and the only reason people go to church on Sunday is because in 321 AD the papal said he (Constantine) had the power to change Gods law. Peagans worshiped Sunday because they worshiped the sun, hence Sunday.... do your research ..seek and you will find. god bless you & yours

Great, but didnt you notice? there is no mention of a Sunday Law in this exposition. Actually this group of Sabbatarians have used this doctrine to scare its members from defecting and to scare non-members into joining. This is unbiblical by all norms.

I am a Seventh-day Adventist from Surigao City........and I want to know the 16 articles that Pope John Paul the 2nd authorized......abuot the SUNDAY LAW.

As a SDA also I would be interested in the answer.

It is true that our works do not save us. It is only the righteousness of Christ that saves us. But when He's saved us, He leads us to obey His commandments, which include the sabbath.

Its not a scare tactic. All SDA's are trying to do is show people the truth. U dont have to go far to see that saturday is the sabbath. Just look at the whole easter celebration. The bible tells us that Jesus died on the friday, was in the tomb on saturday (SABBATH) and he rose again on the sunday. The bible plainly teaches us this but also why do we celebrate easter and why do catholics celebrate the whole Jesus rising from the dead on the first day (SUNDAY)..................people need to do some real research for themselve and let the Holy spirit guide them to truth. But yous need to do this with your whole heart or u wont find the truth.
