Unhappy Escape?

I have a friend currently in Gregg County Jail for an escape conviction. My question to you is, if he was in handcuffs and ran from the police officers and caught. Can he be charged with escape or is it considered evading arrest? He said he went to the law library and it classified escape as one being in an facility and fleeing. So can he really be charged with escape or what? Sicerely,
Desperately seeking Advise

Default Re: Escape?

If he was already captured it can be escape in most places.

Have your lawyer research it carefully, or world law could even do so for you if it is critical for his case.

Both can have some tough penalties unfortunately.

Make sure he has a lawyer ASAP!
