harrassment

i own 3 properties and i had to recently do an eviction,,, since i did this i have now had to deal with the health dept and property management of the city ,,, we have recieved so many violations its pathetic,,then this upcoming week we got it again from the other property ,, all these things that need fixed or repaired are not an emergency and can be fixed in years of owning the properties ,, but we are being told that if not done in one month we will be fined 750 dollars per day till it is done,, these things that they are talking about are gutters being cleaned,, sanding all the old paint off the house and repainting it,,, garages either need repaired or torn down,, but we are not allowed to tear them down without getting a professional demolition derby to take it down,,they are making it impossible for us to keep these buildings that we have done multiple repairs inside and out since we had them ,, but it takes time to make something look good ,,, but one month just wont do it for us ,, this is a very bad year for us and we are barely surviving,, we cannot refinance them anymore ,, we cannot sell them either,,,we are so ready to file bankruptcy do to all this harassment from the city ,,, they will not even return our phone calls so that we can work something out with them,,,,im so fed up with all this ,, there are alot of other homes in this area that are in allot worst shape than ours and they are not receiving these threatening letters with violations to be done in one month,, we strongly believe that this tenant we evicted is the one causing all this comotion, but when u dont pay ur rent u cant live on us for free ,,,, so we did what we had to do and now we are getting all of this done to us,, we are good people not bad people all we have done is improve the area and we feel we are getting the bad end of the deal here,,, is there anything we can do??? one month is not enough time to fix all these things when we are short on finances,,,, I am in Illinois please help me

You may want to call your elected city commissioner and see if that office can help review this, and moderate the inspector's behavior somewhat.
