Question Need Advice

Hi all!

I was arrested over 3 years ago. I was charged with a Felony Theft and got it down to a Misdemeanor. This incident happens in a corporate environment. I took an electronic item that I thought it was either a thrown away item or garbage. If you work in a large corporate environment, you know what I am talking about. There are so many junk stuff that laying around and you think it's alright to take it home and fix it or give it away to someone who knows they can fix electronics. Anyway, they caught me taking it and wanted to press charge against me. They turn my case over to the State but not sure why they did that. Maybe they did not want to deal with small cases like mine.

Make the story short. I have agreed with the state to lower my charge from a Felony Theft to a Misdemeanor. I had to do 240 hours of community service which I completed a little over a year. I did pretty much the state asked me to do.

Ever since it happen to me over 3 years ago. I have been getting jobs here and there but they always let me go within a few months. The longest I have stayed at a job is about 6 months then they let me go. Over the past 3 years, I had over 10 jobs but they let me go. One job lasted about 2 weeks and not sure why they let me go. So the reason why I am writing this forum is that I think of a few possible reasons why I can seem to stay at a job. I am thinking that my background has something to do with it. The other reason is that I believe ever since it happen, people are spreading rumors about me where ever I go. I believe I am being followed and watch by the community. I am being watch even if I am visiting a different state. It has been over 3 years and maybe it's not long enough for the community to see that I am not a threat to the world. Is this a normal procedure for all criminal cases or is it just me. Maybe because I have a college education so everyone see me as a unique case and they want to monitor me. If I am right about the community, then that means I will never be able to work in the U.S. again. Do you think I should move out of this country so everyone here in the U.S. can sleep better at night since I am gone? The worst thing is that my own WIFE and her family knows about what’s going on and they are trying to keep it a secret from me.

Does anyone have any good advice on what to do in my case? Anyone of you ever been to a situation like me before?

Thanks for any advice!!
