cell phone insurance issues
I purchased a phone 10 months ago through internet vendor who sold me insurance from National Cell Phone Association (NCOA), I have never submitted a claim. 3 days ago I went to a club got up to dance left my closed (zippered) purse with the other people at my table, i did not notice until I left the club that my phone and wallet were stolen, I question everyone who was at my table of course everyone is denying taking them. It took 2 days to figure out where and how to submit a claim, a person never answers its done through leaving messages and e-mail. I submitted the internet claim yesterday, today I get a denial of claim due to "negligence on my part for leaving my purse unattended". I do not understand the purse was not unattended I left it with people at the table, someone stole the phone and wallet. This company advertises as hassle free claims, peace of mind. They post they cover theft, lost phones, and accidentally broken! But they are denying my theft claim! What recourse do I have against them, and what do you suggest I do? Please help!!!!
I tried to report the claim thrugh t-mobile thinking they carried the insurance, they were very helpful, very simpathetic and advised this would be covered, however in looking at my account they noticed I did not have insurance through them, that is when I started trying to figure out who insured my phone. And got to where I am today. Definetly not hassle free!
