long hair in school

I live in south africa and I am currently in a south african school. there
is a rule in all of the public schools for BOYS ONLY ( I am a boy ) to have
short hair ( not touch our ears / eyebrows / coller ). The only rules girls
have is to keep their hair neat... Is there any way to work oround these
rules to grow my hair as long as I please?

Although I'm not familiar with the law in South Africa, it might get difficult to get around that if it's a rule for every public school in that country. :/

hi I live in southwest United kingdom, i've been arguing over the hair thing for guys in schools for years, i started a petition (could you sign it)

but doing that may be a good start
