Default Advice needed if possible

Hi All,
I would appreciate any advice regarding my problem.
I am a resident of the Uk and approx 5 years ago I was in a relationship with a US woman.
Over a period of 15 months or so- I went to usa to be with her 6 times and spent a total of 26 weks there. She came here to Uk 3 times during that period.
Unfortunately--it turned into a very 'rocky ' relationship --due to cultural differences and 'trust issues ' on my side .
I have to say- the break up was mostly my fault due to 'issues' I had from my previouse bitter 'break up' from my ex partner of 20 years .
My state of mind was not good-- and so on breaking up with US lady- I reacted badly and gave her a 'piece of my mind' over e-mails, and telephone etc.
I made no threats --but I really went to town on her regarding her attitude. I went over the top in fact.
Anyway- she contacted the sheriffe in her county of Richland SC-- and he in turn contacted police where i live in UK.
I was arrested over here , my pc was taken for examination and also other things from my home which police deemed relevent.
after keeping me worried for over a year or so-- the police here decided not to charge me with any offence- but to 'issue a written caution' to me .
So--at that stage -- I thought the matter was over and done with .
However - After a period of 2 years or more had passed-- during which time I was in a new relationship (and still am) I considered going to USA for vacation --maybe florida . But- I was worried about any backlash from authorities in USA--so- I checked out a few things .
I was horrified to find out that there was a outstanding arrest warrant out for me in Richland County SC. I saw it in a local columbia newspaper -whilst looking 'on line'.
This halted me in my tracks !!.
I have tried to find out my legal position over here in Uk regarding entering USA -but have been unable to find out anything at all.
Could someone/anyone enlighten me regarding this matter ?.
I do not want to step foot into USA if I feel I am at risk of being arrested and sent to Sc to answer for something that I thought had been dealt with over here .

I would just like to add - that the lady I was involved with has a history of doing similar things to other guys before me- regarding involving the sheriffe to destroy those guys lives and careers.
Any help would be much appreciated .
Thank you
Pete
