Default Hypothetical scenario...

an adult child (age 50), lives with parent. Adult child refuses to take diabetes medication or go to clinic for any medical care. If this adult child were to become ill from his diabetes or was to die, what are the legal aspects for the parent? How can the parent get help for this adult child?
