This is a 3 part question regarding name usage.
1) Can a single name (with no last name) be a full legal name 2) Can it (single name) become so by common usage; such as a newly married woman assuming her husband's last name by just starting to use it 3) Regarding a personal name vs professional name, can you use both as a legal name; again as in the case of a newly married woman using her husband's last name as her personal name, but keeping her maiden name as her professional name. Are both legal names? Thanks to anyone for your input on this! |

You pick one legal name and that is the one officially filed when you are born, do a name change, get married. But you can use your maiden name etc. at work.
