Could someone please tell me what this means, exactly?
"FILE PLAINTIFF'S MOTION IN LIMINE WITH AUTHORITIES". I understand it has to do with attempting to get certain evidence excluded, but I don't understand the *with authorities* part... Thank you. |

With authorities means to cite case law in support of your motion. The law is the authority, either statutory or precedent case law.

Thank you for your response...
This is such an odd situation, I do not believe there is any valid case law to support the motion...if it is the evidence I believe it is they want to exclude..which is proof of a forgery of a quit claim deed in a chain of title of someone who obviously does not legally own what they *purchased* from the one with the forgery, and who has filed a lawsuit in an effort to steal part of neighboring property to boot... It appears to me that if someone steals something and sells it to someone else, that does not mean the *someone else* legally owns the stolen something, whether the theft is by forgery or by any other means, regardless of any so-called *good faith* in purchasing it.. |
