My question regards the responsibility of city recreation employees to children who attend a public municipal recreation center. There are no fees involved for children to participate in activities and employees have no control regarding children entering or leaving the facility. I know that while a child is in the facility, the employees have the responsibility for maintaining a safe environment; however, if a child is suspended from the facility for misbehavior and, upon leaving the facility, has an accident on the way home, can the employees or the city be held liable?

If you forced the child to leave you could have some liability.
best to contact the parents... |
