emotional distressto cancer victim due to phone harrassment

my husband's son's mother has a history of leaving drunken,malevolent phone messages to our home. fortunately we hadn't heard from her for awhile. problem: she has our phone number now and this time i'm recording her drunken 2 messages from the wee hours of last night. my husband has cancer (lung) he's doing chemo it's a really sad, scary stressful time. she used 2 long messages to call us obsceneties and hoping, he dies, he deserves to die , and on like that. we'd like to sue her for emotional damages, whatever. she has caused enough harm to our family and i want her to pay. she recently came into some money, too, so i want her penalized for what she's done to my husband.

File a police report and ask them to help put a restraining order in place; if she does it again she could be jailed!
