Do I have a case?
Do I have a claim? The hospital and clinic that I went to when I was
pregnant with my son and daughter made a lot of mistakes that I think
they should answer for. It started with my son. When they did my ultrasounds I told them something looked wrong with his feet. They told me it was just the angle. He ended up being born with club feet and we didn't know if he'd ever be able to walk. His feet were mangled when he came out. During this time they also managed to mix everything up with another woman with the same name. Even after I brought it to their attention I still continued to get her test results, not mine, called for her and her kids' appts., and my payments put under her, which meant mine got sent to collections. They still haven't fixed that damage. A month after I had my son I was pregnant with my daughter. I had another rough pregnancy and was in labor for 4 days before I had my daughter. Both kids were born a month early. When I went in to actually have my daughter they said I needed treatment for something that they had a positive test result for. I was never told about a positive test result, I was told it was negative. When I refused the treatment until they figured out was going on, they said the test had been done twice and one was negative and one was positive. I told them I only had the test done one time and it was negative. I never even had any type of samples taken the date they said the positive test was taken. They wouldn't deliver the baby until I had the treatment so I had no choice but to let them give it to me. I ended up having an alergic reaction. Everything started swelling shut. I could hardly breathe and I had a temperature of 104. When I called them they told me it was from all the fluids. That never happened with my son and I had more fluids with him. After I questioned my doctor and her nurse and
they said they couldn\'t figure it out because they showed no recording of
taking any samples that day, but a sample going out with my name on it. I
know what happened. There was a fill-in nurse on duty and she sent someone else's sample under my name. After everything the only thing anyone can say is "oops". Then I just found out from another doctor that tried to get my records that they didn't do all the tests they were supposed to while I was pregnant. She asked what was going on since I was pregnant and should have had certain tests done for the baby's safety as well as mine. They said they were never done, but I was told they were and signed waivers to have them done. I think they should have to answer for what they did. It wasn't just one mistake, it was several. Do I have some sort of a case?
