Involutary injection of antipsychotic in mental hospital.
My 21 yr old son was put on a 51/50 as being a danger to others. We feel his behaviour had spiraled out of control after his reg. psychiatrist increased his dose of antidepressant, which the hospital has since taken him off of-cold turkey. He of course is coming down from the medication and is afraid to take anything else, as he has had bad reactions in the past to antipsychotics.
Can they rule at a Riese hearing to inject him with psychotic meds? And, do I have any say in this, considering he has signed a medical release for them to talk to me? I could at least explain what does and doesn't work for him! The hearing is tomorrow! Help...Thanks. |
