Default Negligence?

A 56 year old female presents to the ER with complaints of 3 days of hot and cold spells, a pain starting in Right elbow radiating up to neck, Cardiac work-up negative, Cervical MRI neg. LAB abnormal with 0.6 WBC and platlets of 83.
Would you admit or send home?

Not sure this forum is the place for med. analysis

But take your records to a medical professional and if negligence occurred, many lawyers will take the case.

Her platelets were 63, not 83.
She was sent home to f/u with PCP, she did that the next day and sent home from there, she returned to ER that evening, now presents with CVA, multiple system failure, and died. Of course she was septic secondary to the pancytopenia. Two weeks prior was Rx Acyclovir which has been known to cause, in a rare instance, these abnormal labs. First attorney consulted says it was so unfortunate, but her outcome would have not changed. I disagree because if she was admitted on the first visit, blood cultures then would have returned sooner, etc. Get another consult?
