My neighbor has a 9 year old daughter who went into a dental clinic to extract a cracked molar. The dentist refused to allow her father in the room with her, and pulled the cracked tooth, and another loose baby tooth. She then instructed the girl, with her father present, that she would have no pain afterward, and pain medication would not be needed. She did not discuss any after care or home care, either. (like no drinking from straws, no aspirin products, etc.) Less than an hour after returning home, the girl was in excruciating pain. Does her father have any right to file legal action against the dentist? Also, where can he report this negligent care? If anyone knows please contact me. mommaduff26@yahoo.com

You may want to get an expert opinion that it was negligent. If so you can sue and/or report it the dental licensing board.
