(2 issues) Home Nurse and Eye Doctor
1st In New York State My father lost his right big toe due to diabetes. They removed if and sent him home with a home nurse stopping by every other day to check on him and the foot a few days after the he got home the nurse looked at his foot and said it "looked fine" but his blood sugar was very low and to go to the ER. So we go to the ER the doc says his blood sugar was back up and he seemed fine no reason to keep him but lets look at the foot while he was there. They take a look and say that that foot is not fine and the rest of the toes were taken off the next morning. Now if his blood sugar wasn't that low we would have never went to the ER and he could of lost his whole foot and or leg. Is there a case here? if so how long do we have to file?
2nd issues still my father in new york state an after losing half his right foot and many many many hours in a hyperbaric chamber starts to lose sight in one eye but still have sight in the other not great sight but good enough to see and read with glasses he goes to an eye doctor that tells him he can help him and that they are going to work on the good eye 1st because he can make it better and it would be easier then they would work on the bad eye after only working on the good eye my father is now legally Blind since the day after the work was done on it. Again is there a case?? |

It is certainly possible you have a case based on what you say here; you should take a brief description of these events as well as your medical records to an injury and/or malpractice attorney and see if the attorney thinks you have a claim; often you need to contact several attorneys to find one to take the case; the review of your case and records is often free and then they will normally take the case on a contingency fee basis if they think you can win; you would pay only if they collect for you...
