Confused posible medical malpractice claim

A fall from a ladder in Nov,2007 Emergency treatment for broken wrist severe sprain left ankle and right knee splinted fracture and instructed to follow up with orthopedist for care. Doctor treated from Nov.6,2007until Feb.24,2008.Xrays taken in office at each visit told everything is fine .my complaints of pain and other symtoms presented were dismissed as normal. No other diagnostic done.At last visit after second opinion and told him that it seems an MRI should be part of the treatment plan was given a precription for pain management and told I was in the early stages of RSD.Mri done five months later revealed dislocated intra articular distal radius fracture, severe damage to the TFCCcomplex AN impaction of the ulna and lunate bones .since the latness of the diagnosis surgery was a SALVAGE proceedure Two other surgeries have been done to correct injuries that if done at the onset of symtoms would hae abetter result. have permanent disabilitys . Are there legal grounds for a claim.Thank you for your help JVN in N.Y.

Default Re: posible medical malpractice claim

It is certainly possible you have a case based on what you say here; you should take a brief description of these events as well as your medical records to a malpractice attorney and see if the attorney thinks you have a claim; often you need to contact several attorneys to find one to take the case; the review of your case and records is often free and then they will normally take the case on a contingency fee basis if they think you can win; you would pay only if they collect for you.
