Default Should I seek compensation for my medical bills.

Short side of it. My ankle was crushed by my car rotor. Car fell off jack pinning my ankle between my SUV rotor and the ground. I was brought to the emergency room. After xrays and alot of pain meds my ankle was pt into a splint without being cleaned. I was sent on my way with a script for pain and ibprofrin for swelling. No antibotics were prescribed. After 8 days I went to see the doc. The did not look onder the splint and scheduled me for surguery 2 days later for plates and screws (out patient). When they took the splint off they foung a bad infection and dead tissue. I was admitted for 3 days of IV antibotics. Now they dont want to do surgery because of the infection and they said the bones were setting good. I do not have insurance and now have a 3 day hospital bill coming. What do you think.
