I'm in a tough place and need help
I worked for a dentist in Florida from Jan 2008 until 2 weeks ago, Feb 2009. During my time there, I witnessed him touching sterile rooms with contaminated gloves, leaving the room with golves on and returning to work on the patient after he went into a contaminated room. He also lives in his office since his family will have nothing to do with him. With that said, he has multiple opened containers of liquor in the office and pops pills like no tomorrow. He even commits insurance fraud by submitting procedures not performed and has violated the privacy rights of hundreds of pts in a mass mailing. If I report him to OSHA, the insurance commissioner, and the dental board, what will my part play, if any once reported? I just don't want to be sued for slander in the end.
Also, his assistant is a daily pot smoker, and even smokes on her lunch break. I told him of her drug use 6 months ago, and he hasn't let her go. SO pts safety is also at risk with ehr holding sharp instruments near faces. What do I do now that I no longer work there? |
