ER dr unwilling to treat patient b/c of no insurance
I went to an ER about small sores speading on my body and i was afraid it was staff because it began after i got out of the hospital after having a baby, i was uninsured at the time and the dr took the time to look at it for about 10 seconds, tell me his job was done b/c it had already drained and handed me a perscription and syringe and told me to put peroxide on it and told me it was no big deal and happens to people, 5 months and 2 doctors later after these sores have continued to spread and not heal i have found out by the last dr in a wound care center that it is indeed a staff infection and the ER is charging me $200 for nothing. The dr in the ER also made the comment that there wasn't any sense in doing a culture b/c i was uninsured and i could not afford it and he was sure it was nothing. Is there anything i can do legally?
