catscan side effects

my son 4 years old had a seizure, we took him to the emergency room, they gave him after 45 mn medicine for high fever, the doctor ordered blood tests, Xrays and Ct for brain. The fever was still high 102 f when they did the CT, so high fever + radiations = high fever for 2 MORE days and terrible headaches. stayed at the hospital for 4 days ; after going home but still taking antibiotic and fever medicine still had high fever for 5 days. doctor said that we just need to give more tylenol and motrin and just watch him so he won't have seizure again. I kept calling the doctor, went to see him twice before I asked him to admit my son at the hospital cause that was not normal to have this fever for such long time while taking antibiotic for 14 days.
at the hospital, we waited 4 hours before they started an IV and later antibiotic. still fever high for 2 more days. All blood test done, everything was normal. The doctor asked me to do another CT for sinus and one for bones, I did not accept, took the opinion of two other doctors, they told me that he can't do it : too much radiations for him in 2 weeks. know the side effects of that practice (specialy elevation of temperture) I need the opinion of a professional to determine if the CT taken for a child's brain with a high fever 102 and the delay to admit him a second time at the hospital was a normal practice. thank you
