Confused ER negligence

"I was recently in the hospital due to contracting mercer and it was my second time back at the hospital. I was there two weeks prior i the er because. I had this bump that I thought was a insect bite. and the er doc assured me it was just a boil but took a culture just in case. I was told I would be contacted via phone i two days if the culture was positive of anything I needed to be seen back for. like antibotics. Well 2 1/2 weeks go by and I start breaking out over these 2 weeks with these bumps osing puss and got one the size of a baseball which I have pictures of that started gushing bllod and puss. (I this is gross) so I go back to the same hospital er and the triage nurse immediately tells me well it looks like your back for the same thing. Well your coulture must have been neg because I call all patients if they're pos so I go back to a room and the er doc comes i and says well you have mercer without even looking at me and I said what! he says yeah didn't someone call you> I said no so he says well we drop the balll on this one didn't we! Well I was admitted for four days and then my boyfriend contracts the thing because he used to clean my wounds because I couldn't see them they were on my back side region! I've ak for compensation and I'm waiting to hear back from the patient safety board but what figure would we appropriate, Since I was in pain and missed work unnecessarily."

Default Re: ER negligence

It is certainly possible you have a case based on what you say here; you should take a brief description of these events as well as your medical records to a malpractice attorney and see if the attorney thinks you have a claim; often you need to contact several attorneys to find one to take the case; the review of your case and records is often free and then they will normally take the case on a contingency fee basis if they think you can win; you would pay only if they collect for you.
